IPL
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is an excellent option for comprehensive skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. At Larimar Med, our IPL treatment of choice is Lumecca by InMode. Lumecca is one of the most powerful and efficient IPL devices available. The procedure is quick, comfortable, and requires minimal downtime, making it an excellent option for those with busy lifestyles. We commonly apply it to the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. These areas are often exposed to the sun and therefore more susceptible to photoaging, but we can use the device on nearly any area of the body where you have relevant concerns.
What makes Lumecca such a stand-out is its efficiency. It can achieve significant improvements in fewer sessions compared to other IPL treatments. Many patients notice visible enhancements after just one or two treatments, with optimal results typically achieved in a series of three to six sessions.

DEXA Scan
One of the many tools at our disposal at Larimar Med in St. Charles, IL, is the DEXA scan. This state-of-the-art technology is the gold standard in body composition analysis. Many health assessments rely on surface-level metrics like weight or BMI, but those tell us very little about what’s happening beneath the surface. DEXA scanning, on the other hand, gives us three critical data points to work with: your body fat, lean muscle mass and bone density.

Aspen Laser
The Aspen Laser is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive form of laser therapy that can treat pain and is a safe and effective alternative to over-the-counter medication. The treatment process is completely pain-free and uses laser energy to safely penetrate the targeted area to strengthen the tissues and provide immediate pain relief. We can also use the Aspen Laser to alleviate pain in different body areas, including the knees, hips, wrists, back, neck, and elbows.
It can also relieve chronic headaches, reduce inflammation, accelerate healing after an injury, and treat perioral dermatitis and skin inflammation. One of the reasons that this laser system is such an effective treatment for chronic pain is that it targets the source of the pain, not just the symptoms. As a result, you can expect a quick recovery and don’t have to worry about any adverse reactions post-treatment.
During your treatment, we’ll position the laser device close to or directly on your skin to target the source of your pain. The entire process takes five to 10 minutes but may take longer, depending on the size of the treatment area and the condition we’re treating.
Most patients can benefit from several sessions for more acute forms of pain, while patients suffering from chronic pain may need more sessions to effectively heal the area.
